What size grow tent kit do I need?
The ideal size of your grow tent kit will depend on available space and the number and size of plants you want to grow. Always ensure to measure up the grow space before buying a kit. Measure width, depth and height. This will avoid wasting money on a growing system that is too small for your needs.
Big tents can house more plants but the number will vary depending on species, size, and grow method. As a general rule of thumb, a 1m² tent can accommodate 1 - 4 medium sized plants. For smaller plants, seedlings and cuttings, this number can increase depending on the species.
In small tents it is best to grow one species that develops at the same rate and height. This will make lighting adjustments and management easier. If you want to grow different strains or species together, consider a multi-light set up inside a bigger tent. This involves dividing the tent into sections for different plants or growth stages.
Naturally, plants grow upward and outwards, so your tent will need enough space to house adult plants. It also needs to allow good airflow and have enough space for feeding, maintenance and pruning.
You can maximise space by using square plant pots. These are great for small tents as they are more space-saving than round pots.
Our packages are available with a choice of 8 different tent sizes. Choose from 0.6m², 1m², 1.2m², 1.2m² for loft, 1.2 x 2.4m², 1.5m², 2.4m x 1.2m for loft, and 2.4m².

What are the best tent growing kits for beginners?
If you're just starting out, small grow kits are a great choice. These are cost-effective and allow you to experiment with different methods and plants until you find what works best.
Our cheapest and smallest grow tent kits come with high pressure sodium lamps as standard. HPS lamps are popular and emit intense light with excellent coverage. Complete grow kits with LED lights cost a little more but their lower running costs make them a cheaper long term option. LED lights also emit less heat than high intensity lamps, making climate management easier.
Our top indoor grow tent kits for beginners include:
- Lumatek Attis LED Kit: 0.6m2 grow tent package with Lumatek Attis 200W LED grow light. The ideal starter kit for those wanting high quality, low energy full spectrum lighting.
- LUMii Black HPS Kit: A 1m² tent kit complete with high intensity LUMii Black 600W Digital Kit. Lights are dimmable between 250W - 600W.
- Adjusta-Watt LED 720w Grow Kit: Complete kit with 1.2m² tent and Adjusta-Watt LED 720W light bar with dimmable ballast.
