Overview

The IWS Autodrain Standard is designed for growers who prefer hand watering but want to avoid the drawbacks of plants sitting in stagnant water. By quickly removing run-off, the system ensures optimal root health, nutrient uptake, and overall plant growth. Ideal for home growers with up to 24 pots, this modular system introduces automation into your grow room for healthier, high-yield plants.

Benefits

  • Prevents Overwatering: Quickly drains excess water to avoid root rot, increase oxygen availability, and prevent diseases like Pythium.

  • Efficient Nutrient Monitoring: Allows growers to check EC and pH levels in the run-off, ensuring optimal nutrient delivery.

  • Enhanced Root Oxygenation: Creates air pockets around the roots by draining excess water, promoting healthier root development.

  • Time-Saving Automation: Automates the draining process, reducing manual labour and ensuring consistent care across plants.

  • Consistent Growing Conditions: Maintains uniform conditions for all plants, boosting overall growth and yields.

  • Scalability: The system can be expanded to meet the needs of various grow room sizes.

How to Use

  • Assemble the Control Unit, ensuring all 16mm fittings and pipes are securely connected.
  • Place pots on the small or large stands provided, depending on the pot size.
  • Hand water plants as usual, allowing excess nutrient solution to drain into the Control Unit.
  • Monitor the EC and pH levels of the run-off using the Control Unit. Adjust nutrient solutions as needed to fine-tune feeding.
  • The system automatically pumps run-off to waste when it reaches the lower float in the Control Unit, preventing stagnant water around the roots.
  • Regularly check the system for blockages or build-up in the pipes and Control Unit. Clean as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
